Owning Your Digital Marketing & Getting It Done
We get that digital marketing can be intimidating and getting started on the right foot is tough when there is so much to learn. Our best suggestion is to write down your goals and prioritize. Once you have that figured out, all other items will start to fall into place. Then you’ll be more familiar with what needs to get done first in order for another item to be completed, or what can be done at the same time.
Managing Your Time
When it comes to managing your projects and digital marketing, time management is crucial. It helps you keep on track, but also gets you to be productive. One method we recommend is time blocking. You can do this on your digital or paper calendar.
What to time block and how
- Make a list of tasks that need to get done. Sort out by what needs to get done today, what can be delegated, and what can be done the next day.
- Block off designated hours in the day to go through email. 1 hour at the start of your day and 1 hour at the end of your day.
- Prioritize your hours by making sure you get the high-priority items done first. Set 30 min to 1 hour of your time to focus on that task only.
Being productive with your time is better than being “busy.” When you push yourself to be more focused with your time, you end up getting a lot more done over a shorter time frame than you would jumping from task to task.
Owning the Work
Now that you’ve been shown a few tricks to manage your time more efficiently and be productive, it is time to own the work. When you’re managing your time better, owning the work comes easier. You have time that is dedicated to researching and learning more about what you are working on. Rather than just skimming through Google search to find that “right” article to give you everything you need.
With the courses that we have created, you are able to Own the Work and make things happen on your terms and time. No more waiting on others to get the work that you’re wanting done. These courses let you take it into your own hands and walk you through every step of the process. Next step, find a course that peaks your interest and block some time off on your calendar to get working on it!
